Overview
The first capital, colonizer and carrier ship for the Covenant these vessels will find use throughout the game thanks to their ability to field many squadrons of strike-craft and their overall power.
History
Throughout the Human-Covenant War there have been DDS-class Carriers supporting the Covenant Armada. The most impressive feature of the vessel aside from it's enormous durability and excessively powerful weapons array is it's extensive strike-craft compliment. It boasts three squadrons of Seraph, two hundred Banshees and thirty-four Spirits/Phantoms. In addition to it's enormous strike-craft compliment it has an equally impressive number of drop pods used to send in Sangheili shock troops to a planet's surface with the intent of causing sabotage and destruction on a large scale.
Weapons and Tactical Usage
This vessel should be your first build in any game, it has extremely impressive durability for it's cost and can easily turn the tide in early game battles. While it's early-game potential is far from in question especially with the addition of it's Colonize ability which allows it to improve structure construction times on planets it's end-game potential is far from poor. With a compliment of eight strike-craft it's simply the best carrier vessel in the game and should be abused when attacking UNSC worlds to get around static defences.
