Plasma is what all of the Covenant's weapons use. It is much more powerful then the UNSC's weapons. The weapons could range from the plasma bombardment of giant space craft or a plasma pistol used by many of the Covenant's warriors.

All Covenant ships have plasma based weapons. Plasma based weapons are better then most weapons and destroy ships faster then most other ships.
